It’s Over
Well, for all intents and purposes it has been over for the past few months, but now we can officially declare that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee for President.
My mood? Pleased.

Obama DOES NOT have a chance beating McCain. Only Hillary can. But then again Hill isn’t on the Ballot come November. I will vote for McCain.

Why are so many expat Americans in China so crzzy about Obama? Maybe you guys have lived in oversees too long and don’t have access to information on Obama. Haven’t you heard about his pastor problem, his association with some criminals and terrorists? His wife is a ticking bomb waiting to explode any minute. Her remarks show that she isn’t very bright even though she has an ivy league education. What a shame! Most of us Democrats would love to see a minority as our commander-in-chief, but Obama? Please!

FOB, I don’t understand your logic. You state emphatically that Obama has no chance to beat McCain in November, but offer no evidence for this claim. Then, you say you will vote for McCain. Why, exactly?
And- contrary to popular perception, the internet does exist in China so I do have access to the same information you do. Your comment about Obama’s spouse doesn’t concern me- we’re not voting for her, are we? As far as having an Ivy League education but not being terribly bright, well, I’d rather that description fit the presumptive first lady (even assuming it’s true which I highly doubt) than the current occupant of the White House, a man whose policies John McCain will mostly emulate if elected.
